Recreation

Relax.

Grafton Hill has some of the greatest places to relax and enjoy nature. Whether it’s sitting along top the river levy, walking the neighborhood’s tree lined streets or maintaining bird feeders at home, Grafton Hill is home to a variety of restorative activities.

Run/Walk/Ride!

Grafton Hill sits along the nation’s largest interconnected 340 mile paved trail system. The trails connect with diverse experiences whether on foot, bicycle, skates, wheelchairs or strollers. Visit Five Rivers MetroParks for more information about the trail system.

Grow it!

Are you an avid gardener? Join the neighborhood's lovingly maintained community garden by reaching out to the Grafton Hill Association at graftonhill@outlook.com.

Get out and play!

Grafton Hill offers many opportunities for all ages to play. These include sledding in the winter, playing at the tennis and pickle ball courts on W. Riverview Avenue and the playground equipment at McKinley Park on Forest Avenue.

Ride it!

Kayakers and surfers can be found at the RiverScape River Run play feature (known as “Arty” to locals) located at the doorstep of Grafton Hill. Visit Surf Dayton for information on lessons and rentals.

Catch it!

The Great Miami River is a popular place to fish. Remember, a State of Ohio Fishing License is required. Visit the Ohio Department of Natural Resources to obtain more information.
